i’m just really bummed out with the way that “empowered woman” has come to basically mean “conventionally attractive thin white woman with cool hair who owns 58 dildos” and judgement of how “empowered” other women are is invariably measured against that idea
i feel like people just use the word as shorthand for that idea instead of actually thinking about what empowerment is and how it can be different for different people
